Richard Petty Motorsports hopes to survive financial trouble, finish 2010 season, but there are no guarantees, team officials say

MARTINSVILLE, Va. ? Beleaguered Richard Petty Motorsports hopes to continue racing through the remainder of the 2010 Sprint Cup season, but RPM Competition Director Robbie Loomis stopped short of guaranteeing that Saturday.

Amid reports of Roush Fenway Racing taking cars back from RPM and employees being told that they might not have jobs beyond this weekend at Martinsville Speedway, Loomis said he had confidence that the Petty team will survive to run the final four races of the season.
